Greenville Jewish Film Festival showing Running on Sand this weekend

GREENVILLE, SC – Running on Sand, a nominee Israeli Academy Award for Best Film, will be shown this Sunday, February 9 at 4 p.m. at the Camelot Cinemas as part of the Greenville Jewish Film Festival’s Pop-Up Movie series.

Running on Sand tells the story of Aumari, a young Eritrean refugee in the process of being deported. He is mistaken for a professional soccer player being brought to Israel to help save the struggling Maccabi Netanya team. Despite having no soccer experience, he plays along and somehow manages to reinvigorate the floundering squad. Amid their quest for victory, he finds himself falling for the team owner’s daughter and worrying his identity will be uncovered.

Running on Sand will be shown on Sunday, February 9 at 4 p.m. the Camelot Cinemas in 48 E. Antrim Drive, Greenville. How the Upstate fits into the Luxury Outlook

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The 2025 Sotheby’s International Realty Luxury Outlook highlights international high-end real estate trends that mirror what is happening in the Upstate.

Just released, The 2025 Luxury Outlook report draws on insights from Sotheby’s International Realty agents worldwide who specialize in transactions in the $10 million price category. Their expertise is complemented in the report by data from industry leaders including J.P. Morgan Private Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cerulli Associates, Henley & Partners, UBS, and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

One of the key takeaways that appears consistently through the Luxury Outlook is that proximity to nature, arts and culture is profoundly shaping the tastes of emerging affluent buyers. Joan Herlong, the founder and CEO of Herlong Sotheby’s International Realty, said these are key reasons that the Upstate is seeing growth in demand for luxury real estate.

Greenville Classical Academy has been named one of the top 20 schools in the Classic Learning Test’s 2025 CLT School Rankings. This award recognizes Greenville Classical Academy’s student body for collectively receiving one of the highest average CLT scores out of schools across the United States during the 2023-2024 academic year.

The CLT is a college entrance exam and alternative to the SAT® and ACT® designed for 11th and 12th graders and offered by the Classic Learning Test (CLT). Evaluating reading, grammar, writing, and mathematics, the CLT provides a comprehensive measure of achievement and aptitude and engages students with thoughtful reading material drawn from classic literature and historical texts.
