Peaks of Lexington adds 78 affordable housing units

LEXINGTON, SC – Community and business leaders gathered Tuesday for the ribbon cutting for a 78-unit income-restricted community in the heart of Lexington.

Located at the 510 Conway Drive, the Peaks of Lexington includes amenities such as a clubhouse, business center, fitness center, playground, and an on-site management office led by NHE, Inc. one the Southeast’s leading property management companies.

“This is a fantastic project for the Lexington community,” said Taylor Davis, President of NHE. “We are excited to be working with such a great partner in Resource Housing Group.”

The property includes one-, two, or three-bedroom apartments featuring a sunroom, luxury flooring, and a deluxe, open-concept kitchen with modern appliances. The community also has a playground, a laundry room, and a 24-hour fitness center.  The units will be available for families earning 30%, 50%, and 60% AMI.

Peaks of Lexington project was made possible with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits from the South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority (SC Housing). Other key partners include equity partners CAHEC and Monarch Capital, and lenders ServisFirst and Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of The Peaks of Lexington Apartments. This development represents a meaningful step forward in expanding access to high-quality, affordable housing in Lexington. It will provide hardworking residents of Lexington and Lexington County with a stable place to call home, while also helping local businesses tap into a reliable workforce to support their growth. As the long-term owner and steward of this community for at least the next 15 years, RHG is deeply committed to ensuring that The Peaks of Lexington remains a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable place to live”, said Sam Coats, Vice President of Development with Resource Housing Group.
