GREENVILLE, S.C. — Reedy Reels: The Greenville Film Festival is accepting film submissions for its 2026 festival happening this March.
This year’s festival features two new categories (Music Video and Creative Commercial) in addition to Short Film (less than 40 minutes), Documentary (less than 40 minutes), College Student Film and High School Student Film. Early submission is due by August 15, regular submission is October 31, and final deadline is December 31.
“As we head into our 11th year, we wanted to open up the categories a little more to allow for more creativity,” said Rhodes Farrell, Executive Director of the festival. “We know a lot of films aren’t narrative and we want to showcase that as well.”
Reedy Reels will take place at the South Carolina Children’s Theatre, located in downtown Greenville, which continues to make lists for its beauty and the city’s reputation for its art scene grows daily.
The city’s love of film is no different. Future filmmakers would be amiss to not submit a film to the Reedy Reels Film Festival and have the chance to network with other filmmakers and film professionals.

“Each year we just continue to see more and more talent,” Farrell said. “We hope any and all filmmakers submit their films for the festival. We can’t wait to see what’s in store.”
