Greenville Jewish Federation hosting health fair next week

GREENVILLE, S.C. — As the Greenville Jewish Federation launches Jewish Family Services for the Upstate, they have partnered with several incredible organizations to host a free healthcare event next week.

The Community Health Event will be held Thursday April 18, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. , and Friday April 19, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the
Rupert Huse Veteran Center, 770 Pelham Road in Greenville.

This event is open to the community and will include:

· The opportunity to donate blood either Thursday or Friday and receive a $25 gift card.

· Register to be a donor with Gift of
Life.

· Learn about becoming an organ donor and
registering with Donate Life SC.

· Receive a FREE Genetic Screening via MUSC with confidential results on genetic risks for certain cancers, including BRCA1 and BRCA2, and heart disease among others.

· And more.

Event partners include The Blood Connection, Gift Of Life, Donate Life, MUSC In Our DNA SC, JScreen, and Upstate Warrior Solutions.

“We love our community and events like this are an example of how we are working to create a stronger and more inclusive Upstate,” said Courtney Tessler, CEO of the Greenville Jewish Federation, “This is an opportunity to give back to the community and receive something back too.”
