The next Greenville Jewish Film Festival Pop-Up Movie to be shown in November

GREENVILLE, SC – On November 9, the Greenville Jewish Film Festival Pop-Up Movie commemorates the 87th anniversary of Kristallnacht “Night of Broken Glass” with a powerful dramedy inspired by true events — one that will leave you wondering if a journey to the past can heal the future.

The Ring focuses on Arnon Noble, a religious man with a strong bond to his mother, a Holocaust survivor. He usually drives her to school lectures where she tells the students how she saved the lives of her baby boy and herself with the help of a thin gold ring. When the mother’s health deteriorates, he travels to her old hometown, Budapest to search for the mythological ring that saved her life in the past.
He turns to his estranged daughter, who is a TV researcher, for help and invites her to share the journey. Will the search for the ring be successful? Will the ring save the mother’s life again and will the same ring that saved her mother also succeed in saving Arnon’s relationship with his own daughter?

The Ring will be shown Sunday, November 9th at 4 p.m. at the Camelot Cinemas, 48 E. Antrim Drive, Greenville.

Tickets can be purchased here (https://greenvillejewishfilmfestival.com/pop-up-movies/). Adult tickets are $18, and student tickets are $14. Both include popcorn and a drink. Students can email info@greenvillejewishfilmfestival.com for a discount code.

“Each pop-up film allows us to come together, share stories, and experience the richness of Jewish culture as an Upstate community,” said Caroline Warthen, co-chair of the Greenville Jewish Film Festival.

Harvest Hope Food Bank

Good Day,
I’m reaching out from Harvest Hope Food Bank with an invitation to cover a powerful community story this Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
We’ll be hosting events at all three of our locations across South Carolina:
• [Location 1 – Columbia, SC]
• [Location 2 – Florence, SC]
• [Location 3 – Greenville, SC]
Each site will feature volunteers and community partners coming together to fight hunger across our region. The need continues to grow, and these events will showcase the real impact local giving has on South Carolinians.
This is an ideal public interest story that highlights:
• Community engagement in action
• Positive local impact
• Volunteerism and donor involvement
• Inspiring stories your viewers connect with and remember
Your coverage not only uplifts the work happening on the ground, but it helps mobilize others to get involved through donating, volunteering, and spreading the word. Viewers respond strongly to stories of neighbors helping neighbors—and Giving Tuesday offers the perfect moment to spotlight that.
We would be grateful to coordinate interviews, on-site access, b-roll opportunities, or live segments from any of our locations. Just let us know what works best for your team.
Thank you for considering this story and for continuing to elevate community voices. I’m happy to share event schedules, contacts, or additional details. Our team looks forward to working with you soon.

UNITS of Greenville

CHARLESTON, S.C. (September 2025) – UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage today announced the launch of its “Moving Scaries” consumer awareness campaign, designed to spotlight the top moving scams and red flags families should avoid this fall.
“We hear too many stories of families falling victim to dishonest movers who overcharge, disappear, or fail to deliver on their promises,” said Matthew Romanelli of UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage of Greenville. “We want to give consumers the tools to spot red flags early and feel more confident when choosing a mover.”
The “Moving Scaries” to Watch Out For
UNITS has identified five of the most common moving scams and illustrated them through Halloween-inspired “characters” for easy recall:
• The Phantom Quote – Low-ball estimates that disappear once belongings are loaded.
• The Hostage Haul – Movers who hold items ransom until inflated fees are paid.
• The Skeleton Crew – Understaffed teams that cause delays and surprise labor charges.
• The Creepy Middleman – Brokers who outsource your move to third parties, creating confusion and no accountability.
• The Dracula Deposit – Huge upfront deposits that drain your wallet before the move even happens.
How Families Can Protect Themselves
UNITS Moving and Portable Storage experts recommend several simple steps to reduce risk when hiring a mover:
• Get at least three written estimates and compare them carefully.
• Read contracts thoroughly to identify hidden fees or vague terms.
• Avoid cash-only deals and never pay more than 20–25% upfront.
• Confirm whether the mover will handle your job directly or subcontract it.
• Check reviews, licensing, and DOT registration numbers before booking.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage provides high-quality, weather-resistant portable storage containers for both residential and commercial needs. Learn more at www.unitsstorage.com.
