The next Greenville Jewish Film Festival Pop-Up Movie to be shown in November

GREENVILLE, SC – On November 9, the Greenville Jewish Film Festival Pop-Up Movie commemorates the 87th anniversary of Kristallnacht “Night of Broken Glass” with a powerful dramedy inspired by true events — one that will leave you wondering if a journey to the past can heal the future.

The Ring focuses on Arnon Noble, a religious man with a strong bond to his mother, a Holocaust survivor. He usually drives her to school lectures where she tells the students how she saved the lives of her baby boy and herself with the help of a thin gold ring. When the mother’s health deteriorates, he travels to her old hometown, Budapest to search for the mythological ring that saved her life in the past.
He turns to his estranged daughter, who is a TV researcher, for help and invites her to share the journey. Will the search for the ring be successful? Will the ring save the mother’s life again and will the same ring that saved her mother also succeed in saving Arnon’s relationship with his own daughter?

The Ring will be shown Sunday, November 9th at 4 p.m. at the Camelot Cinemas, 48 E. Antrim Drive, Greenville.

Tickets can be purchased here (https://greenvillejewishfilmfestival.com/pop-up-movies/). Adult tickets are $18, and student tickets are $14. Both include popcorn and a drink. Students can email info@greenvillejewishfilmfestival.com for a discount code.

“Each pop-up film allows us to come together, share stories, and experience the richness of Jewish culture as an Upstate community,” said Caroline Warthen, co-chair of the Greenville Jewish Film Festival.

We’ll be hosting events at all three of our locations across South Carolina:
• [Location 1 – Columbia, SC]
