GREENVILLE, SC- The Rally for Recovery is a free, family friendly event that is open to the public. This year it is sponsored by Spinx.
Michael McLain, Community Engagement Director at the Phoenix Center, said, “We are blessed to have the Rally for Recovery in Greenville County to bring together recovery service partners and providers, as well as individuals and families that have been impacted by substance use disorders, to offer help, hope, reduce stigma, and to highlight to the community that people do indeed, recover from alcoholism/addiction and go on to live healthy and productive lives and while enriching their relationships. The Phoenix Center is honored to host this event every September and we are grateful for the many other treatment and human service agencies that partner with us to provide this outreach and advocacy event every year to upstate South Carolina.”
A very integral part of the Rally for Recovery will be a recovery recognition ceremony to honor those within the recovery community. As a part of this ceremony, there will also be a time of reflection to remember those that we have lost.
In an effort to combat overdoses, Narcan training and distribution will be available at this event. In addition, there will be activities for all ages, free lunch, music, A Friendship Dance presented by the Catawba Nation, community resources, a health fair and vendors. The event will open with Benton Blount, America’s Got Talent Season 10 top 10 finalist, singing the National Anthem.
The Rally for Recovery will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on September 6, 2025 at the Charles E. Shipman Center, 975 Foot Hills Road, Greenville, S.C.
Members of these organizations and willing attendees and volunteers will be available for questions and interviews throughout the course of the event. Interviews prior to the event can also be arranged.
