Greenville Triumph, Premier Labs & JDRF to host Family Night

Premier Medical Laboratory Services (PMLS), Greenville Triumph SC and JDRF of South Carolina will hold a Family Night at Bob Jones University on Thursday, October 14. There will be beginner and advanced soccer clinics for the children led by professional Greenville Triumph soccer players, interactive vendor spaces to provide ways to manage stress and educate on diabetes, as well as other exciting activities for kids. Food will be provided by Chick-fil-A, and those who attend will receive a free ticket to the October 16 Greenville Triumph soccer match.
“We are excited to partner with such great organizations for a fun community event that will raise awareness for Type 1 diabetes,” said Kevin Murdock, CEO and Founder of PMLS. “In all that we do at Premier, our mission is to improve patient lives. We are continually conducting research to provide the most advanced medical tests to help with the management of T1D and we actively support JDRF’s pursuit to find better treatments and, one day, a cure.”
New research suggests, doctors often miss signs of Type 1 Diabetes — thirst, excessive urination, fatigue, weight loss — in kids. Between 5% and 10% of cases of diabetes are type 1, which is not caused by lifestyle choices and often first surfaces in childhood. PMLS, Greenville Triumph, and JDRF want to use this event to educate parents on early signs, how to control Type 1 Diabetes, and to bring the community together for an exciting family event.
Those who would like to attend Family Night can RSVP through the link below. This will be held at BJU’s Alumni Stadium on Thursday, October 14 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The soccer clinics start at 6:30 pm for two age groups: 6-8 and 9+. There will also be activities for younger kids to take part in. Masks are recommended.
